Learn How To Rap and Make Great Songs

Before you can start to make songs that hit the radios, clubs, billboards and stores, you need to master the art of rapping. If you were born with that talent, you have a great advantage and you can skip years of practise right from the start.

Tips on how to rap:

1) Stay on the beat and follow the drum pattern closely to ensure you’re lyrics can be followed easily by the listener. Nothing is worst when you hear a rapper completely off beat. It’s actually super easy to stay on the beat. Try tapping your foot or snapping your finger on every clap/snare in the beat to help keep you on point. Staying on beat is one of the most vital pieces of learning how to rap.

2) Talk about the truth. This is really important now a days more then ever because of all the fake rhymes being put on now. It’s cool to make some hot tracks that everyone loves. But it’s also not a good look if your hot track is full of lies and fake stories that never happened. It’s up to you to decide whether you care to talk about fiction or non fiction in your rhymes. It may matter more to some to speak only the truth.

3) Study the great rappers and figure out their formula for writing catchy songs. Choose one of your favourite artists and listen closely to their songs. Listen to their delivery, flow, lyrics, tone of voice, speed and overall concepts. This will help to show you how to rap.
